New product for the R31/CD/JK Nissan transmission!

Update: 3rd gear synchro is currently being revised. Until this is complete, 3rd gear synchro will not be available for purchase. You can purchase all other synchros individually.

Carbon synchros significantly enhance shifting performance and feel. They replace the original, less robust synchros, which are known to cause grinding and lockout issues, especially when shifting at high RPMs.

These carbon synchros replace the following OEM synchros. It is recommended to check part numbers in order to confirm fitment. Early transmissions will utilize part number 32604-CD105 for 5th/6th gear synchros. Later transmissions will use part number 32604-5X00A for 5th/6th gear synchros. It can be helpful to use an OEM Nissan parts website to check each part number utilizing your VIN.

Synchrotech Pro Series Carbon Synchros have a full carbon composite lining. The carbon composite material acts as a braking material during gear engagement. This allows for quicker and more precise shifting and prolongs the life of the synchro sleeve and gear engagement teeth.

Professional installation is highly recommended, but DIY installation is also possible. Research to see if this is something that you feel comfortable taking on. There are YouTube videos that can be used for reference of DIY synchro installation into the R31 transmission.

These synchros look amazing and performs well for daily driving. Solved all grinds during normal driving. The problem with these synchros is they do not solve the high rpm gear lock out situation. During high rpm shifts I still get a grind and the employee has no solution in mind for it. It’s best to buy a new transmission then to spend thousands to rebuild your old one and hope for the best.
